January 2011, is holding it's own, compared to January 2010.  Is this a hint of stabilization in the market?

Substantial jump in the median price.  Cash still comprises 61% of the purchases. Financed purchases increased from 24% to 32% this year.  Very interesting, considering higher FICO score requirements  and stricter lending guidelines than a year ago.  The sound buyers are moving forward to purchasing.

February is a month with plenty of activities to do! 

Feb. 4th - 6th    Wings of Freedom Tour at the Venice Airport.  Florida Warbirds, EAA Warbird Squadron 24 will be flying in 40 planes.  It's fun  to see them fly in.  Many planes from the WW II era.     On Friday, 2:00 p.m.  to 4:00 p.m.,  on Sat. and Sun.  9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  

Feb. 5th - 7th    "Be Dazzled" Orchid Show and Sale at the Community Center on the Island.   Saturday 10 a.m.  to 5 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vibrant colored orchids on display.  I'll be attending.      

Feb. 12th     Historic Venice Trolley Tour at Triangle Inn, 351 S. Nassau St. 9:30 to 11:00

Feb. 20th    Venice Joy of Jazz Concert at Centennial Park, 1:00 p.m.

Feb. 24th - Feb. 27th     Italian Feast and Carnival  at Venice Airport 

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the month at 3:00 p.m. there is a concert in Centennial Park on Main Street.  Happy Time Band plays on Tuesdays, Gentlemen of Jazz on Wednesdays and Slim and Friends Concerts on Thursdays.
