Venice Bits

Sales figures grow again this month. Every figure is upward.  For March in Venice, 147 units were sold as compared to 102 for 2009.  Total volume in 2010 for March was $29,027,282, well above March 2008 that brought in $17,802,576.  Median price in 2010 is $155,000, passing 2009's $145,000.  March average price for 2010 is  $197,465, out shining 2009 $174,535.

For both 2009 and 2010, cash purchases account for 65%, conventional 27%, FHA 3%, and other 5%.  Visitors are  buying, inventory is abundant but rotating and moving.

The Eggstravaganza-Easter egg hunt is April 3rd in Centennial Park from 9 - 11 am)

At Venice Little Theatre on April 5th there is the  show "Revolution - The Beatles" at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. tickets available.  Also playing "Dearly Departed" till mid month.

The 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd are free concerts at the Gazebo from 3 - 5 p.m. 

My favorite is the Shark Tooth Festival April 9 - 11 at the Airport Festival  Grounds.  Friday 4 - 9 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.   Arts, crafts, fossil vendors, live entertainment, delicious food, and children's games. 

More live concerts at the Gazebo on the 9th and 23rd from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On the 15th the Thursday Night Stroll where store owners keep their shops open late so you can get some great purchases. 

April 17th the Suncoast BBQ Bash at the Airport Festival Grounds.  www.suncoastbbqbash.com
