I have had many requests for recommendations for a good place to eat.   If you find what I listed about a restaurant different, I would appreciate your opinion and would like to possibly post your experience.  Those restaurants that do not have a web page in my drop down, their address and phone numbers will be provided here.   

Sharky's On The Pier

This restaurant has fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico with a beach to stroll on and you can also walk on the Venice Pier. Music most evenings with a tropical atmosphere.   Excellent for lunch or dinner.  You can eat inside or outside. The artichoke appetizer is delicious, shrimp scampi and the key lime pie satisfied my taste buds.  Most visits I'll enjoy the fresh catch of the day.  At sunset enjoy a breathtaking views on the upper deck where only cocktails are served. 

Crow's Nest

Magnificent views of Roberts Bay and the marina from the upstairs dining room.  Entrance level also has dining with a pub atmosphere.Food and service are excellent.   It's a favorite place for lunch and dinner. I recommend the grouper, lobster and of course key lime pie.  Service is always outstanding. 

Ophelia's Pasta House:

Just off Laurel Road and 41, they have delicious shrimp scampi! Atmosphere is warm and friendly.  Everyone is made to feel welcome, even fido, when  dining outside.  Bar is comfortable, service is excellent, and very affordable.   

Back Eddy Bistro

Located in downtown Venice on Miami  Ave.  It is a cute place I went for lunch.  We had the turkey burger and corned beef ruben which was very good.  We ate in a back dining room which was a bit snug on seating space.   

Cafe Mangiafico

The food here is mangiafico!  Went with a party of four and we had a lovely dinner with great atmosphere.   We ordered the chicken marasala  and chicken francese and shared the ganache cake for dessert.  We all agreed it was an excellent meal.  The service was very attentive.   Will be coming here again.   

Thai Spice

If you like Thai food I think you will be pleased.  I've been there for both lunch and dinner.  The soups are delicious.  For main course  I've had the steak and another time the shrimp, both very tasty and memorable.  Sushi is available.   Atmosphere is minimal, restaurant small, but the service and food make it worth while.
